Well, here we are folks, you asked for a portal to educate, share ideas and express opinions and we delivered. The new site is up and running and we are curious to know what you think.

Our goal is to keep current in site technology, content and provide you with a tool and a resource to aid you in becoming a true Recruitment Professional.

Leveraging network

I would have to agree with jclarke's comment; would be great to get a better sense of each other's roles. I will also add that the pull down menu for job titles when enrolling is a bit restrictive. I would add a free form field for those of us with different job titles.

Hello everyone. I'm truely excited about the launch of this site. Now Canadian recruitment professionals have a meeting place of their own to share ideas, best practices and to network with the top professionals in our field. Reaching out to our peers just became a whole lot easier.

Richard - congrats on your efforts. Your passion to connect like-minded professionals has resulted in top notch product. My only complaint is that my user ID is "screamer" :)

Great Start

So far the new site looks wonderful - great job Richard and the team at Caro! As the community starts to grow and expand I can see many different and useful applications for the tool and for the continued sharing of knowledge amongst the recruitment community in Canada. I guess it is now up to us all to build and make use of the tool.

Ditto..ditto on previous comments. Richard, thanks for making this happen. It is very refreshing and I like the overall layout of the content. One small suggestion I have is to expand the "my account" profile information. It would be great to see some additional information about our fellow contributors. Nothing more than company name and position....I'm sure there are plans to expand the contact funtionality in the future. Kudos to you and the folks at Caro for a job well done!

So far so good.

I like what I see so far. I love the idea of the XML tags within blogs and comments, so that when you post, you can get notified of responses to comments or questions posed, via an aggregator. (I know, this featrue is pending!!!)

I also like future ideas like a Skype interaction facilitated through the site to allow online forums, information sharing, and networking with those who will be part of the site, but located outside the GTA.

Information sharing is key. Perhaps rather than e-mail Licinia's presentation to everyone, it can be one of the first posts to the "archives"?

As for present content, I think the grass roots level and Canadian contribution is going to be refreshing. Here comes Richard Matthews as the John Sullivan of the North. Chris Grosjean as Lou Adler?
