What do you people want, blood?
OK, so what does it take to get some of the most passionate, networked and outgoing people (recruiters) to be passionate, outgoing and network?
If I'm not mistaken, the RNG has close to, or maybe now more than 1000 registered users, and the last post to these forums was by ME - 3 weeks ago!!! I'd post more frequently, but quite frankly, I'm trying to cut down on the amount I talk to myself.
Don't give me "I'm too busy" as an excuse - cause the people saying that are the first ones to be on here, posing a question or asking a favour when in need. Why not start building that "emotional bank account" now. (I stole that from Stephen Covey)
There's a sister site to this group, the RQNG for, essentially, Project Managers. And, holy cow man! You should see the participation over there.... Project Managers! Who the hell likes project managers, and wants to talk to them? Don't people typically run the other way in the halls when they see their project managers coming their way (to do status checks on deliverables, etc)? Project Managers!!!
Come on peeps.
Do you not have questions, wants, desires, urges, comments? Yell at me for ragging on your profession and calling you sub-otimal to a project manager (I hope to god the PM's don't have access to this forum....)
'Nuff from me. Pipe in.
Oh, and on a tangent- I was playing with the Yahoo! Pipes product (http://pipes.yahoo.com) recently and it's pretty slick. Mash up technology with endless potential - even recruiting!!!
Peace out,
Geoff.
